I don't know if this is the right area but had any one ever had any problems after doing a tune on their car? I have a bran new car and don't want to mess anything up by getting a tune

you'll only mess up if you use Hptuners and don't know what you're doing lol

No problems with getting a tune. Trifecta hptuners Diablo. Whatever. No problems

I wouldn't say it's impossible to screw up your car but it's very low risk unless you do it yourself.

I just got it, you get the tune and a cable or borrow a cable. Tune is setup on a website with a password they send you, then you download to a windoze laptop, run a program included adn that lets you load/unload/keep stock tune on a file.

No it will not be the same you could end up with more power going to zzp then doing a mail order/canned tune.

A mail order tune like trifecta or vtuner can give you just as much power as a dyno done tune.Its all depends if the tuner is willing to data log you several times and tweak the base tune.The GM Torque PDI will calculate flywheel HP and TQ output.This can be used to tweak to max safe output.Also you will make more power if tuned for 93 octane than 91.

Get a Trifecta Tune (BadNewsRacing - Tuning), you won't be disappointed.

I've had mine in since 10k miles and haven't had any problems whatsoever.

A mail order tune will not give you as much as in person dyno tune followed by a street tune.. That has been proven not only on Mpfabs car but also mine and on another member and also others outside the sonic/cruze world. I myself made 20 more TQ before going back to a canned tune. This summer I'm going back to using HPT for drivability and power.

Unless you can prove me wrong on that an actual in person tune wiill be better And for 300 to 400 it isn't a to expensive

There's a lot of variables involved when tuning. Ambient temp, altitude, fuel delivery, etc with that a custom tune will always give u more power and Better drivability.

What's so fun about making the same amount of power as every tuned cruze or sonic

I guess that would depend on who is doing the tuning wouldn't it.Also keep in mind i am talking a stock car with just a tune.
