Wedding Band..........Help!!

So I finally found a woman I want to be with from here to the end. I popped the questions she said yes and we are now in the process of planning a wedding and all the fun that comes with that. Picking venue, colors, music, who we want to come, and so on and so on and so on as the amount of things to do is mind blowing.

The part we are to now is picking wedding bands. Woman are easy they like shiny and are used to wearing jewelry so she knew what she wanted for a band right away........me on the other hand not so easy to decide. I have worked in some form with my hands for years from construction labor to fine cabinetry work and was never into jewelry or even allowed to due to machinery I was using.

Now I am older and wiser and learned to use my brain for work and not my body so I work on a computer all day in the AC, not as rewarding as some of my previous jobs but I am happy none the less. That being said I told her I was not going to wear a band but she insists and I love her so to make her happy I am in a search for a unique ring for myself and wanted some SOF help and input from everyone.

All of their bands are done in titanium with different finishes and inlays of various types.


1) Silver finished with blue Box Elder inlay.

2) Silver finished with a hammered center and blue Box Elder inside.

3) Silver finished with a Turquoise.

4) Sand blasted exterior bronze finished with bronze sunset inside.

5) Brushed finish with California Buckeye inside.

6) Black finished with black Box Elder inside.

7) Silver finished with blue Box Elder inside.

So these are my favorite ones I found and if you find anything you could suggest I am open for that help also. I love how this company uses the wood on the insides of their rings almost like a beautiful secret piece of art that only you know about and show to people that will appreciate it. And before anyone asks about durability of these they are all designed to be a 24/7 worn item including showers, swimming, doing dishes even dirty work wont harm them.

Send me your votes and please help me figure this one out as this is something I will be wearing for years to come. Thanks for any help I receive.

My only issue with titanium is that it is scratched and dulled fairly easily. I had a watch with a titanium case and band. It looked great up till I started to wear it every day.

That being said I would go with 2 or 5.

try something with a tungsten band, but if i had to pick something from the list id have to be 5.

I'm down for any suggestions too as I have never worn a ring before. I just don't want a traditional plain rounded gold band, I want something with a little more......how do you say...... BAD ASS?? lol

You should also think about the possibility of needing to resize the band in the future if you gain/lose weight. I know titanium and tungsten bands can't be resized. I'm going with white gold for that reason, but I also have a desk job.

I told my fiancee that if I have to pick it will either be tungsten and carbon fiber or tungsten and fiberglass.

Silver color with CF or black color with FG. If I can find a pure CF band I might suggest that.

When I was picking my ring I had never worn one before either. I wanted something that I didn't have to worry about getting damaged while doing work around the house and wanted something that looked decent. I ended up going with a tungsten ring. If it gets dirty just wipe it of. In five years its never scratched or dulled.

Personally I don't think I would ever find myself taking it off to admire the inside of the band, plus if that is actually wood then I can't think it would hold up as long as the marriage.

I attached a pic of what mine looks like. You can't really see the texture on the center of the band, but figured I'd throw it out there.

I like the idea of a different, colored inside. It's very unique and definitely a conversation piece. Even if you don't take it off to admire the middle, you still know it's there.

I thought about the re-sizing issue but it wasn't a huge deterrent for me when selecting a metal. Thanks for the input, every bit helps.

I wouldn't be taking it off to admire it either really it's more of a beauty on the inside kind of thing. And surprisingly enough I called and spoke to them and they have rings they made for guys who abuse the hell out of em and they hold up amazingly.

I like your band, there is a similar one I found on a different site but didn't want there to be a 100 choices from 20 dif sites and get overwhelming.

I know most of the "BAD ASS" is on the inside but on the bands with the wood all the way to the edge you can see a little detail when worn.

It's kind of like when I wear a short sleeve shirt and you can see that I have half sleeve tattoos on both arms but not exactly what the tattoos are and it sparks a conversation. Gets people thinking hmmmm whats that all about and if curious enough they ask to see it.

I also don't want something that is way over the top in design and not look like a wedding band and be more of just a ring. Or even worse it is outdated very quickly and in 3-5 years is a what was I thinking type of purchase.

It looks like the bands you listed all seem to be pipe band, I decided I wanted a comfort-fit band, there is also a half-round band or something like that. Tungsten Carbide was my other choice for metal since I want to stay away from precious metals. I did hear that although it doesn't scratch or ding that it is very prone to chipping when hit into things while being worn.

I have not had a chance to go into a jeweler and try anything on yet since last time I was there I spent a small fortune on her ring lol. I really don't know anything about type of fit and the only reason I picked the pipe fit was I liked the look of the ring. Thanks for the info and looks like I'll have to get out and try em on.
