What is a Sonic Molded Hood Protector for anyway?

Went and had my tires balanced like 2 times already within 3 weeks i guess because i drive crazy but who knows anyway they said they will ship me a "Sonic Molded Hood Protector" for my Beautiful 2012 Crystal Red Sonic and was wondering will it look okay on my car or will i look like one of those weird people that add all that stuff to there car to protect it?

IIRC it's just like a bug shield, A few people here have them and some have even made them out of plastidip. The lines flow well on the hood and it looks ok.

i'd go the clear-bra route before i did a leather bug shield

I'm assuming with it being a molded piece it would be an injected molded plastic piece. The le'bra is not nearly common place anymore as they chafe the paint and cause more damage than rock chips and bugs would.

Yeah I'm like 98% sure ill already hate it. but maybe it will hide some of the paint chips from the hood of my car.

i'm sure you'd love a clear-bra. you don't even notice them. especially with the high beams on .

Ill look around. Im waiting for my insurance check to come in to replace my hood and bumper/plastic anyway

Long story but some Hillbilly in west virginia Spun his tires in a gravel parking lot at this small gas station and dinged up my hood and chipped the paint and told him to pay for it then he laughed and drove off so i followed him and hit his small S10 on the side and messed his truck up good. but this is my first time getting full coverage on a car and i was mad so he got a reminder not to mess with me. but i should get my insurance check today or tomorrow.
