What is acceptable operating temperature

I know in the 1.4 the thermostat is 221°. Central Florida mid afternoon temps. Car creeps to 230°. Is that acceptable operating temps

I’m in leesburg FL and mine used to get up to about 224/226 on the high side, I saw 228 out of it a couple times just not as frequently. I’ve since gotten it tuned and the op temp lowered. I didn’t have any issues with mine at those temps other than being weary and wondering the same thing you are haha

The thermostat is controlled by the ECM. I had this same issue. You need to replace your thermostat. The fan should turn on at 220. For some reason when your thermostat is bad it wont turn the fan on at high temps when it's faulty.
