My first car was my first Turbo. I've only owned one N/A car.
1993 Saab 9000 CSE Turbo 5spd:
Pic with my Rally Armor Mudflaps, I've had those on every car, the Sonic will get them soon enough.

This thing was a ton of fun and I got nearly 35mpg's on the highway with it. It's 2.3L Turbo only ran ~7psi but it felt like a lot. The Sonic actually reminds me of the Saab in certain aspects. Got rid of it due to ridiculous repair costs..

07 mini cooper s. At 60k miles it suffered a bad abs control module to the tune of $3200. Promply traded it in for my 14 ltz and really like the 1.4.

I've had many turbos I the past... A few SAAB cars, loved them.
One of my favorites though was a 1962 Corvair made by Chevrolet with a factory 150hp turbo. It was the first production model by Chevy with a factory turbo. Also it was the first with four wheel independent suspension.

My first turbo car was a 94 cummins 12v. Single cab dually, 35 gallon tank, 19mpg no matter what I was doing except for stupid heavy loads.
I got pulled over twice in it, never got a ticket. First time was a BS pull over thinking I was trafficking drugs... since I commuted a lot from GR to Flint for school apparently. 20 minutes on the side of the highway wasted.
Second time I just got done doing a bunch of maintenance and fixed the AFR on the fuel pump after my buddy screwed it up before he sold it to me. I smoked out a cop at about 9:30 at night. Hit lockup on the torque converter, shot to about 35psi, and jumped about 20-30mph in a few seconds. Pulled into the church parking lot, rolled my window down, and waited. He came up and saw me covered from head to toe in grease and soot from working on it, and after I told him what happened, he just laughed and told me better roads to do some test&tune on and to go back home. He complimented the truck before he walked away. I'd buy another one in a heartbeat... with less michigan rust.

A 1990 Sunbird Turbo GT exactly like this. ... was a POS and I never should have bought it... the camshaft was f'ed, took 3 trips to mechanic to fix that.... bought it used BTW and the camshaft was bad from day 1, so I should have walked...
Then it blew a head gasket a few years later, literally died in the dealership parking lot the day I traded it for my 95 Contour (a slightly less POS car)
but I loved the way it looked!!!!
