I own a 2012 Chevy Sonic hatchback. The past two days a vehicle icon with a wrench has appeared on the dashboard by the fuel gauge. According to the manual this means car needs servicing. To my knowledge nothing is wrong with the vehicle. Only has a little over 60,000 miles. Can anyone suggest what I should do? Am reluctant to take care into a mechanic and pay big bucks only to hear that nothing is wrong. Help!
Just purchased a 2013 sonic The engine light was on in the cluster. I change oil right away. Made sure the gas cap was tighten properly. Antifreeze was pushing past the cap on the fill canister so I replaced it. Did the battery trick. Lights out

Hello Mandy here. I have a 2013 Chevy Sonic. Saw a puff of steam from under the hood and have a oil in my water. Check engine light comes on. Did a block test with fluid in perkulator on radiator cap. Passed that test with no exhaust fumes in radiator. Could not maintain pressure in cooling system to test if water came out Pistons under spark plugs. How do I know if it is oil cooling gasket or water pump?
