Anyone stepped up to a 215-50R17 on the stock 17's? Was thinking about new tires for the Sonic and was considering this very slight upgrade. Give me a smidge more meat and a little extra sidewall to protect the wheels.

Really don't care much about the speedometer error. Just some input on your experience.

Or anyone squeezed a 225 on there? I'm thinking the rim isn't wide enough for that or would be on the low end of the tire limit.

I have 215 50 17 on 17X7 Konig wheels and have lots of room.

I believe I have them on stock wheels.

No rubbing issues at a full turn?

I'm ready to drop the cash on some 17" Sparcos, but I want to make sure they won't rub on the inside.

Any idea if a 215/55/17 would fit without rub?

Stock LTZ wheel with Falken 225/45/17 on the right and ECO wheel with 225/45/17 BFG Rival on the left. Not all 225 width tires are the same width.

DWS too... Had those on my Mazda5 and they worked out well. Considering those or the DW for replacements on the Sonic.
