Can we hack MyLink?

Believe it or not, the Mylink in my RS plays movies while moving. Its not hacked....oh wait a minute
If you start the movie while in park, and then move into drive, the movie continues to play. I thought for sure that the mylink update to get Bringgo would get rid of that but it didn't.
I haven't tried to start a movie while in drive, which I'm pretty sure won't work.

I've never felt a need to watch a movie while driving. Matter of fact, I've never watched more than 10 minutes of anything in my car. Half of that was driving just to see how long it would stay playing.

Its not Win CE...it uses QNX as the OS.
Still, I wish there were a few more options available to configure MyLink in my RS. Stupid little things like I wish I could change the steering wheel button behavior while on different screens. (i.e. when on the phone screen have the scroll button still work for the radio presets. And be able to make the scroll button simply go up/down on XM channels instead of presets, drives me nuts.)
Am I happy I have it and is it pretty good? Yes. Could a few minor tweaks make it fantastic? YES!!

Not trying to hold water. I have a 4 year old son and another on the way. Its much easier than installing TV's in the headrests dont you think?
I don't see why not. He's 4 years old. Any sort of entertainment is better than nothing.

Hey WhiteOut, If you are wanting to set up TV or something in the back for kids, do you have a Tablet of some kind, Ipad, Touchpad, Surface? When we got the sonic we wanted to be able to have something for kids to watch on longer trips, so we bought this: Amazon.com: Arkon Deluxe Headrest Mount with Extension Arm for Centered Backseat Viewing for Tablets (TABPB-RSHM3): Computers & Accessories
It works really good to have TV in the back. I ripped some of our DVDs onto it so they can watch them. You can then either route the sound through the audio jack via male to male cable. Or you can link sound via bluetooth, however there is some delay between the video and the screen because of the lag. We have used it for several trips and its cheap and easy if you already have a tablet. We just have a cheap HP Touchpad Referb that I bought from a friend who bought an Ipad.

That looks like an excellent (legal) solution.

Of course not having kids yet I'm not much to talk here, but what was wrong with looking out the window like I'm guessing most of us did growing up?

Some context for those of you without (small) children.
When we were kids safety requirements were much more relaxed. I remember as a child my parents had a full size conversion van. We were pretty much able to roam free and play with toys on the floor, roughhouse or various other things to pass the time. But now you stick a one year old in a car seat with a five point harness, tight enough they can barely move, barely able to see over the window sill if at all. Don't get me wrong, I think the safety standards are a good thing. However, you put a child in those conditions for long periods of time they get upset. Blue sky and books they aren't old enough to read yet can only entertain so long. And if they ain't happy, you ain't happy.
I agree that tv and DVDs aren't a good practice all the time. We have a half hour rule. If our trip is going to be half an hour or less, no TV. Even then we will wait to turn it on or still not use it unless we fell that the mood of the children warrant it or we want them to stay away until we get home so they don't ruin a full nap.
Edit: no I don't think we roamed free at a year old, but just giving an example for what I do remember.

Will try? Will not even need to try.
I know MyLink is only $200 as an option but having seen prices for retrofitting Camaros I suspect the unit itself to be much more expensive than $200.
