Chevy Performance Suspension?

In the catalogue, there's a suspension kit (part number 23158161) that I'm putting on my car; has anyone purchased and installed it? How much is the ride affected? Also, I'll be replacing the stock Hanooks with a more appropriate choice; has anyone have any experience with the Potenza S-04's? Thanks.

You would probably be the first. From what I understand it is RS shocks/struts and lowering springs

Lower than the current RS springs? Or does it only drop the 10mm RS drop?

Drops the RS by 10mm, but LS/LT/LTZ by 20mm. Sounds like the springs are a modest 10mm drop and the RS struts have a 10mm lower perch than the other struts.

It's not that bad. I have rs struts and shocks with b&g springs. it's by no means a smooth ride but it's not bad enough that you'll have to wear mouthguard

It's probably similar to my setup as well as $ubs. I don't mind it at all and my whole town is brick street hell. Gotta watch the railroad tracks, but that's no big. I think you'll like it.

I actually don't relative how rough it is anymore till I drive something else

I'm hoping it's more BMW than autocross, as I'd hate to spend a grand on something, and then another to remove it. *crossing fingers*

You'll be fine. My ride (RS w/ Eibach springs and Eagle Sport tires) is firm and w/ the DDM rear brace quite close to sport car handling.

Our roads are fine. The put holes are not that big. I think I heard the sub frame bottom out due to a pot hole today. oncoming vehicle crossed the line and I had to swerve. Massive put hole or totaled car were my options.

Try northbound Mound Road between 10 Mile and 12 Mile. None gigantic but more than enough to get a taste.

I could be wrong, and it is several years since I last drove in California, but I can not recall a pot hole.

I thought for sure you were talking about the turn lane you have to take to get to work at MPG!

On milford road coming up from 96. The very edge of the lane is nothing but craters. I had to choose between hitting the front of a truck or a crater. I took the crater. Something solid contacted the road.

That turn lane tosses the car around a bit. I do not enjoy it at all.

Just checked out the DDM rear brace; it appears they're out of stock at the moment, but I'll call them in a few so I can add it at the same time I get the suspension kit installed. Also, I just saw the installation of said brace by Preloader; what a great site this is!

GM road is terrible as well. Glad I don't take that much anymore except for going out to lunch occasionally.
