Some boards also have an onboard USB port reserved for page file as well. It allows you to plug in a standard USB flash drive to be used as the page file. Doing so would solve this bottle necking.

Interesting...haven't ever looked into that before.

Wouldn't the USB port reduce speed to the flash memory when compared to the SATA port? Don't really know off the top of my head, but I'd think there would be a drop in performance because of that...I could be wrong

Edit: Being IT, had to research that.

Looks like SATA Flash Drives have 3 times the throughput as a USB 2.0 Flash drive, so...still -might- perform better than a HD, but not SSD for sure.

I'm pretty sure the USB port is more aimed towards users with an HDD as their primary drive. I was just offering that as a way to not be using the SSD as a programs drive AND page file at the same time.

Nothing spectacular, but much better than Intel HD 4000 graphics.

I'll eventually either:
a- Sell the 550TI and buy a 690
or
b- buy another 550TI and run SLI

Whatever is cheaper/easier when I'm in the market to do so.

WEI doesn't care that I have an SSD now just because I don't want to install Windows on it, so my lowest score is 5.9 for the "Primary Hard Disk"

Also, why does WEI use a scale of "1.0 to 7.9"? That makes no logical sense. And by that, my GPU being a 7.8 means, to Windows, I have the next to best thing there is, which is far from the truth... =/ My 6850 is great, but it's really a mid-range card.

Since putting my games on my SSD now, I hardly have any load times at all anymore. Period. This thing is awesome.

Yeah, back maybe a year or two, something with a 7.0 or higher was ungodly awesome, but now it seems anything you get will meet that.

I wish they would update WEI to have higher ratings.

My computer wasn't starting and I thought my life was over for a few minutes.

Turns out the wires to the power button had come loose from the motherboard... somehow. It hasn't been moved or bumped or touched since I turned it off last night yet they somehow wiggled their way loose? Makes no sense... unless sombody broke into my house, unhooked it, and left... which also makes no sense, actually.

I found that furmark was unreliable for testing stability... maybe for a quick check, but the only true way to test stability is pretty much various games.

Nice overclocks! But now you make me want to OC my CPU more though..... but I've got it so stable and cool and I don't want to touch it. XD

Also, I'm way more excited about Trinity than can be considered normal. :|

Lol, impressive.
But that looks like they are using a Quadro.
Quadros aren't even gaming cards, so that's a fail system right there.
