Some boards also have an onboard USB port reserved for page file as well. It allows you to plug in a standard USB flash drive to be used as the page file. Doing so would solve this bottle necking.
Interesting...haven't ever looked into that before.
Wouldn't the USB port reduce speed to the flash memory when compared to the SATA port? Don't really know off the top of my head, but I'd think there would be a drop in performance because of that...I could be wrong
Edit: Being IT, had to research that.
Looks like SATA Flash Drives have 3 times the throughput as a USB 2.0 Flash drive, so...still -might- perform better than a HD, but not SSD for sure.
