I would love to order from bnr , but I'm in n Canada and I'll be paying 2-3 time as much as u would for the same product. And I just can't justify wasting hundreds of dollars in exchange rate ,taxes ,duty ,shipping and all the other hidden fees I get graped with when buying from the states . It really grids my gears !!!! I live 2 min away from a dealer . So I'm going with the $900 dollar route with free snacks and coffee.
pulled the trigger on the gm part #23444737 i hope i picked the right #. now patiently waiting for the ups truck !
its been 7 days since i placed the order for the exhaust , i have no info on when i might expect the exhaust to be shipped . i reached out to the dealership that runs the site i bought from (roy foss ). i asked why there has been no change to my order status : pending / back order ? the guy at the parts dept told me its going to be a minimum 3 weeks b4 they will even figure out if they have the part i requested . they told me that they have to send my vin# to gm and wait for them to tell me if the part i requested is compatible with my car . in the mean time they have already charged my credit card , but im being told there is a chance gm may decline my purchase request . so now im $800 in the hole no part, waitng another 2 weeks for the possibility that they could tell me the part is discontinued . how can you list parts for sale online and not even know if you have them ? im not impressed with this
Thank you for the explanation that's much better than I got on the phone. I normally buy all my parts from the parts department at my dealership but I saw the exhaust listed at a price I thought was too good to be true so I jumped on it. I think the name is gmpartswholesale.ca
$820 Canadian
Wilson niblette was $1167 install+tax
Roy Nichols was 1177 install +tax
I would also like to add that I don't feel I'm being wronged in anyway by Gm or the dealer or site I purchased from . What makes me lugubrious is the system u parts guys have to follow. It would be nicer if you guys have more information to give the customer. When they have questions about the products being back ordered or discontinued. The parts guy should be able to see if a part is available from their computer and not have to wait three weeks for an answer. I feel the parts guy at my dealer cares more about my business then some ya boo sitting in an office thousands of miles away
so i got the exhaust installed no problems . i went to hogan chevy to get the ecm reprogrammed . i was first told they couldnt do it . they told me that i have to go to the dealer i bought it from . i said it clearly states the i can take it to any gm dealer to get the reprogram and clearly states the cost of re programming the engine computer is included in the cost of the kit and the dealer is instructed to charge the reflash to labour code .the technician at hogan told me that i would have had to buy the exhaust from hogan to get a free re flash . so they told me i have to pay $75 to call tcsc to get my vci# for my vin then said i would be charged another $120 for labor . i have all the paperwork that came with the kit and it states very clearly the cost of reprogramming is included in the cost of the kit!!!!
@hectic @ carnskis please help . am i being given false info from hogan ?
