This is the full Punky Musa aero Kit for the sonic RS, developed and sold from MFB Motorsports and built by Doro Ave.
This is my own review and write up on the Kit and my opinion has nothing to do with either of the companies, it is just a 3rd part take on the kit.
First up we have the Fog light Canards.
These are very well formed and cut pieces of carbon fiber with 3 metal brackets hidden under neith that are held onto the bumper by three Philips head bolts and nuts. I would have preferred it to be like a 10 mil bolt head than the Phillips just in fear of stripping out the head. Still has held on very well. The most effects felt are definitely in hard turn where it almost gives the front end a wing like effect. Very noticeable. Best way I figured to instal them was to simply turn the wheel opposite the way you are working and remove the 4 fender liner screws, place the already assembled canard on and make your three marks with a silver sharpie. Drill the three holes and throw the bolts on. Very simple instal.
Next we have the side plates (sides skirts) with mini fins.
These are the fins I'm talking about:
These I'm a little on the fence about, for looks, they look really good. I love the little carbon fiber fins on the front and back, but as far as functionality, I belive they are supposed to make it so the turbulent air is forced along side of the car and make it a bit more slippery. I honestly can not tell they are there. Another simple instal though. Jack up one side of the car (if a lift is not available) and clamp the side skirt in place, I used a locking pair of pliers:
Than drill your holes three the provided mounting spots:
Than I got a little clever using another set of locking plyers to hold the nut because of my chubby fingers and lined it up with the hole I drilled :
Tighten down and repeat on the opposite side!
This last part is where the normal kit and the Race Spec kit differ. The massive front splitter. The amount of down force the this thing sucks the car down to the road is incredible! You almost have to tug the wheel to make it turn from the amount of force. It is held on with 6 bolts and two arp 10" splitter struts. The amount of force is enough that I had to go and get washers to put behind the bumper mounting points because it is tearing holes out of the bumper. This splitter makes the entire kit worth the price.
Thanks again Bragdon!
