Back on topic: I drive Woodward every non rain day each day of the week leading up to Dream cruise Day (for 2013 Sat. Aug. 17) in my bark green Corvair convertible but if there is a time and place, say 2pm in the now closed BORDER'S BOOKS & MUSIC parking lot which is home to Corvettes for the last dozen years) I will certainly stop for a moment or several of rest in my Sonic.
Parking in the Woodward cruise area on that day is difficult but this may be a possibility. It would be easier if Border's was still open (coffee bar for refreshments) but it looks to me as a possible.
And as anyone who has done the cruise will attest, meet up or not, it is heaven come true for car lovers of any kind or era. Over a million people lining the road as several thousand true classic cars (and an equal number of wannabe) slowly drive past their favorite seating spaces.
