Nice numbers. I just wish the power band was a little wider. I realize it's a tall order with the low displacement, though.
I would be happy to put this turbo into the sonic. Good for gas saving when not spooling and give the car sleeper status that beats other sonics at part throttle. The manual transmission can handle this the autos can't Though I won't care if my transmission goes out from this turbo. I have other plans for this car post trans-apocalypse.
Yo. I thought auto could handle more. Because clutch ossues
Me too, but I ran out of money for turbos.:sadbanana: This turbo is not ideal for most, but it does make some jam. If I can get the timing where it should be, the value of this turbo can be revealed, but currently it's a lot of lag for only 250whp.
They make things called "aftermarket clutches"
Kinda solves that problem.
Except that it doesn't. Preloader killed who knows how many manual transmissions on the stock turbo. The trans is only rated for 236 ft-lbs.
That's not true the turbo 1.4 was out a few years before the 1.4 N/A was put to market
Do you have a source? Because I certainly do
GM Family 0 engine - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
From the article:
"The EcoFlex engine is a version of the TwinPort tuned to provide better fuel economy and lower emissions. The 1.4 L engine was introduced in 2008"
AND the article on the Volt:
Chevrolet Volt - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
"While driving, after the Volt battery has dropped to a predetermined threshold from full charge, a small naturally aspirated 1.4 L 4-cylinder gasoline fueled internal combustion engine (Opel's Family 0[67]) with approximately 80 hp (60 kW), powers a 55 kW generator to extend the Volt's range."
The Volt was release in 2010, as a 2011 model.
When did the sonic enter production again? What about the Cruze?

If I die, bury me in my truck, because it's never been in a hole it can't get out of!
The a14 turbo first came out in early 2009 then followed the N/A which doesn't the have jets and some webbing on the block that the turbo has and a few other thingsDo you have a source? Because I certainly do

It's not a good source

It is a source, just not a very reliable one.
I'm not an expert here, he'll a year ago I knew neatly nothing about GM anything built after the 80s.
I'm just piecing together what I've been able to uncover through talking to people, reading, and common sense.
You can knock my sources, but provide no actual counter-source? Guess I've made my point.
I'll concede that I know very little here; and was hoping to have a discussion based on what I did know/understand. Instead you just dismiss my points because I've not been "following the euro guys"
Nice and helpful guys.
Typoed on my iPhone
Because sleeper?I am curious to know how much power the stock cat back will be holding this set up back (with the anaconda).
