Sonic Won't Start.....?

I have a Chevy Sonic 2012 that I bought last year, never had a problem with it, this morning I go to start it and nothing,doesn't even crank,battery is good,all the lights light up on the dashboard....

In December I had a remote start installed professionally,I tried starting it like that today and with the key...nothing....

The lighted sybol with the lock and the car together stay lit on the dashboard....

Well I disconnected the battery and it starts with the key now, not with the remote start..?

7 different solutions so far for this type of issue now! If it returns you can use this for reference. For the remote start you should take it back where you got it.

1) New keys and theft-deterrent module
2) If the key is not in the fully locked position and the head is angled down, the vehicle may not start.
3) MM FOUND ALL FIVE GROUND WIRES CORRODED WITH GLUE. HAD TO CUT 4 INCHES OUT OF ALL WIRES AND REPLACE
4) The under hood fuse block relay center was replaced
5) The cable connected to the starter was loose
6) The LOC and amp that caused the battery to drain, so low that it wouldn't start. This also somehow caused all my key fobs to not work, the immobilizer to lose it's programming, and all the "modules". Charge battery and reprogram all the modules and immobilizer and key fobs.
7) The no crank condition may be caused by the ECM receiving an intermittent exhaust camshaft position sensor signal as soon as the ignition is turned On. As a result, the ECM does not send a crank request signal because it has determined that the engine is already running. Replace the exhaust camshaft position sensor according to the Service Information procedures.

The aftermarket def wont work because it probably lost programming when you disconnected the battery. Things like tach have to be reprogrammed or it wont start.

Thanks guys...today I'm going back to the remote starter place.....see what they have to say....hopefully it's solved..then from there it's to the dealer...

Hi, I have exactly the same problem with my sonic 2012 One day the car no start it seems that the car had no battery but all the lights are on. That happened to me many times but the worst was when I was stopped at a red light and when I try to start I do not lift well the clotch and the car don't start anymore, I was with my kids and I was very worry that a some car did not see us and hit us. We stayed there until a man pushed us to the edge, after 15 minut the car start well. Today I went to the dealer to report this problem and they say that my car has not problem. Of course becouse the problem is not always, the problem is intermittent.

How often does this happen? If its only happened once, and the computer didn't store any code it can be hard to find the problem. If it has happened more than once, how often? If its completely random it's still a hard find. If it happens say once a week. Ask them if they can give you a loaner car and have someone drive your car for a week or till it happens. Don't be afraid to tell them your afraid for your and your childrens safety.

It shouldn't get to this but if they still don't do anything try to get something in writing saying you complained about the issue and they couldn't/didn't fix it.

have you put any gas in it ...i know there good on gas ...but they still need it.

Its fuel or spark if it turns over ...maybe pluged fuel filter?

your car thinks it's been stolen and has disabled the ignition. your remote installer is to blame. enjoy.

Intermitted no crank on my 2013 LTZ 1.8 was the start/crank relay #5 under hood fuse/relay box causing the problem... high/low ambient temps and it would act up. I guess you can add that to the 'list' of possible causes .. Duralast Part Number: 19264 (rectangular).
They list a second smaller (square) relay as 'starter' it is actually a 'start' relay.
