Got em on eBay and they came chromed originally and I painted them after I stripped the chrome. Have all the details in my build thread.

So today i tried mounting my Hella supertones before work, which i ran out of time.

However I figured i would go ahead plasti dip my chrome rings red real quick. the headlight bezels come off easily with five screws. Then one little one to take the rings off without breaking them.

They turned out really good, nothing broke too. one thing I do wanna mention is one of the chrome rings wasnt screwed in, i only had screws in the other three. wonder how that happened.

Couldn't you have just taped off your steering and just spray it? Seems better to me.

So it turns out I'm one of the unlucky members who lost a headlamp ring. I took them off about 6 months ago (broke the screw tabs) and plastidipped them black. I just noticed this morning that my passenger high beam ring is now gone has anyone seen these rings online for sale? I'd rather not buy an entire new lamp assembly for one missing trim piece. If not, might see how the lamps look naked without the trim rings.

Just had an idea...

The only reason you need to take the bumper off is to get to 1 screw because that screw is impossible to get to with ordinary screwdrivers.

What if you had an unordinary screwdriver?
I bought this tool for my fiero a while ago and it serves its purpose well, but anyone with a welder could make one.

Rodney Dickman's Automotive Accessories

All it is is a screw gun bit welded onto the end of the handle, allowing you to spin the screw from off to the side instead of straight on. If you need pressure down on the screw just push with your finger.

If I think about it I will try it soon.

I think Dupi-Metal cast is the way to go... the look will be 'deeper', as the chrome turns to a kind of base color.

Yea they are smoking something for that price... and to do it right you have to pull the bumper. Not a biggie, just time consuming...

I charge 80 an hour.. 160 plus 200... for rings.
