Evacuating a fridge to do surgery.
Interesting thing about this refrigerant is it does not harm the environment or the ozone. However, it is slightly toxic and very flammable.
Hah! Corey Feldman!! Nope I haven't seen that one.
Is it explosive? Sounds like it would be good for a passenger car. It sounds better than R-134a except for flamability.
You NEED to see "The Burbs".
Like, now. On Bluray.
It has a flammable rating of #4 which is higher than propane and gasoline. What is really weird is the fact you can pour it into the system through a funnel because it is a liquid below 89F.
Personally, I think Propane (R290) should be used in passenger cars. Its a great refrigerant, safe for the environment and cheap. What really bothers me if the fact people say its dangerous because its flammable.
So, for some reason having 2lbs of propane in your A/C is dangerous, but that 15-30 gallon gas tank, OR CNG tank fueling the vehicle is fine? WTF?
Sounds legit.
The systems/refrigerant they're looking at to replace R134a all seem like a joke. Loss of effeciency, insane pressures, expensive, or otherwise impractical.
The reason for a switch they say, is R134a is bad for the ozone. They said it was good for the environment when it replaced R12. Definitely legit
You were in a timeout!![]()
