Is it explosive? Sounds like it would be good for a passenger car. It sounds better than R-134a except for flamability.

It has a flammable rating of #4 which is higher than propane and gasoline. What is really weird is the fact you can pour it into the system through a funnel because it is a liquid below 89F.

Personally, I think Propane (R290) should be used in passenger cars. Its a great refrigerant, safe for the environment and cheap. What really bothers me if the fact people say its dangerous because its flammable.

So, for some reason having 2lbs of propane in your A/C is dangerous, but that 15-30 gallon gas tank, OR CNG tank fueling the vehicle is fine? WTF?

Na, R134A is a greenhouse gas and lasts a long time. It doesn't hurt the ozone.

The refrigerant used in the fridge I was evacuating runs at 26"HG vacuum on low side and 1 to 5PSI on the highside. Its an extremely low pressure refrigerant. Of course 26"HG is around 6F so you would run less vacuum on a room A/C.

Anyone know what the procedure on filling your tires with nitrogen is? Like obviously you need to get most if not all of the air out, so how does that work?

I've got a tank and regulator so I figure why the hell not.

You will never get all of the air out. Just start with breaking the seal between the tire and wheel, roughly 0psi without pressure on the tire....
