Oh hi
I'm Mike.. I like long walks on the beach and driving in fast cars.. problem is .. closest beach is a hour drive away and my fast car has been night night for 7 years .. and the beach in Buffalo NY is so dirty you don't want to go there .. The local Govt tells us to only eat 1 fish a month from the lake .. yeahhhh different story different time
Little about me .. I'm a Honda fan boy through and through .. hate all you want I even have a Honda tattoo .. I still have a few Hondas at my house but I like BOOST ..then they turn into summer cars only since we can has snow..
So here is how it got started .. June 27th 2013 While driving my swapped boosted Civic home from work going roughly 80MPH I meet a jumping deer .. through the windshield and rolled back the roof..split the deer in half.. Since I need a car ASAP and did not have time to fix my civic, I just got out of the hospital the day before so I could not do any work for 2-3 months on anything. I parked it in my barn with my other projects cars and bought a BMW 3series for a fun all around summer winter car ... fast forward to the polar vortex and me learning that BMW's have 2 models that are made .. (the lack of rear defrosters should have clued me in) So one day that it was -24* F here in my town January 21st .... While sitting at the end of my driveway with my kids waiting for the bus to pick them up I noticed a slight burning smell that came inside the car .. well the smell turned to smoke about 15 seconds in it .. While telling the kids to get out of the car and turning off the car I then saw FLAMES coming out from the cowl near the windshield...So long story short my CCV valve froze (its what controls the pressure in the vale cover) . so when this froze it then blew the VC gasket out and decided to leak a ton of oil out and on the nice hot manifold .. after running my vin I found out my car was not a "cold weather" version.. So again i need a car ASAP .. I work 70-80 hours a week and have a 110 minute 85 mile drive to work and about a 70 min drive home but only 60 miles (I need to take my youngest to the sitters every morning)...
So here I am looking for a car .. I get a call from a good friend of mine, he is the part owner and GM of the Chevy dealership I was going to go to and he talked me into coming down.. January 23 going to the local Chevy dealer and I buy a new 2013 Sonic left over with 2 miles on it .. I pretty much stole the car .. I paid under 12
I was done with working on cars .. I got a dark bronze mocha hatch .. In the spring its going to get some window tint and a slight sound system just a bass tube nothing crazy ...My kids like watching movies in the car so it adds a little more sound.. Ill end up putting in headrest DVD players in too. ..maybe headlights .. I have a few HID projector kits laying around for Hondas I may buy extra headlights and try to fit them
That's about it .. Oh and I'm a HUGE gun nut...I would like to thank Chevy for adding that fancy pistol box in the dash
