I do. Any more symptoms, or just that? Is it misfiring on one cylinder, or all? Any codes?

it also reeks of fuel. I'll take a video in a little bit. just one cylinder. it's missing so bad at idle it lopes. I'll pull the codes too.

right now ignition problem is my main suspicion.Cracked valve or ignition problem?

Wow that sounds a lot like our model A idling.
Is it running rich, or is that just fuel dumping out of the missing cylinder?
Did you pull all 4 plugs and look at them? Are 3 clean and one wet or are all 4 black?

I haven't pulled the plugs yet. they're damn near impossible to get to and it'll take me some time set aside to do it.
sounds pretty sweet though, right? ha

Do cars still act the way they did in the 80s ie stay in open loop until they warm up and then go into closed loop?
If that's what's going on at lease you have a clue it's something the ECM is doing.
Running fine and then becoming rich, bad coolant temp sensor?

Didnt even think of the coolant temp sensor. When my truck had a bad temp sensor it would start up fine when cold, but have a hard start and run rough on a hot restart. It sounded like it had a massive cam in it. The ECM thought the coolant was always at -17*F and over fueled the engine causing an issue with gas fouling the plugs.
