Final Update! Dealership picked up my car Saturday and gave me the loaner. I called Tuesday to get an update and didn't get a call until i was pulling up at the dealership (they knew I'd show up if someone didn't call me back). Met the service manager William and he said my car was ready that he had another mechanic go over the car and make sure everything was correct and that he personally drove my car and all is good. I take off and immediately noticed the steering wheel was still clocked at 10 o'clock. I didn't check everything else to see if they had done it until I got home and could look under the car. What do I find? the only thing they done was tighten the bolts on the spindles that hold the ball joints tight. the car was still missing the subframe bolts, vacuum assist motor bracket bolts. I couldn't get back to the dealership until Thursday mid day. I called them in the morning and left a message with the service rep and William the service manager and neither one of them returned my call so I just showed up right before lunch. The service manager saw me and to me, acted like he didn't notice me and walked right on by and went to each service rep kiosk and put a paint marker for them to mark scratches on cars that are dropped off for service. Then he exited the building for lunch. My rep finally showed up and I talk to him and he said it sounded like I need an alignment which wasn't covered under warranty. I then broke down the whole teardown process for replacing the transmission and asked him if any part of the teardown process involved removing the steering components, removing the subframe, etc... and then I asked him if it was their responsibility to put everything back together in working order. He answered yes so I told him he needed to get my car back in the shop right then and put it back together correctly, the same shape it was in when I dropped it off, minus the transmission problem. I told him I had no where to be and that I was going to sit there until my car was done, no questions asked. I showed them again what was missing and took a seat in the customer waiting area and conversed with every single person in there. Most of them over heard my conversation and asked me questions about my car so I gave them the whole story and like myself, they couldn't believe all of the problems I've encountered. Anyhow, the service manager, William returns as I'm outside talking with another employee and as he passes me, he spins around and says, "are you the guy with the transmission, why are you back here, your car was fixed and I personally drove that car" His tone and attitude lit the last little bit of fuse I left and I let him have it. Needless to say he went to see what was going on and came back a little later to apologize and say I was right and they were fixing it now. I told him I didn't want an apology, I just wanted my car fixed correctly and wasn't leaving until it was and once it was fixed I was never coming back to that place or recommending them to anyone for sales or service. I sat there until almost 5pm while they obviously searched for the missing bolts, etc... and installed and corrected my steering. They pulled my car up and i crawled as far under the car as I could and found everything to be where it should be and went inside to sign whatever paperwork I needed to and my service rep said there wasn't anything to sign that they didn't write it up, I was okay to leave. I bet they didn't write it up, just proves that they didn't do it right the first or second time. Anyhow, everything is back together and the transmission shifts so much better than the old one did so kind of makes me think the other one had a problem from the beginning. Didn't they change the transmission gear ratio for 6th gear. I don't know if it's the same or not but I swear my car actually picks up speed in 6th gear now when i accelerate. Maybe I'm just imagining it since I haven't driven the car in so long, idk.
