An apology from DDMworks

Hello Everyone,

Just wanted to apologize for taking some time away from the forum. We had our largest event of the year that took up some of our time and 2 very big builds that have kept us working very long hours to get finished up by the deadlines. We are back though and will be keeping everyone up to date again and also will be having Mike help us keep you guys up to date with progress on the new products we are working on.

So once again, very sorry for dropping off for a little. I am getting all of the PM's and threads caught up tonight.

As for those wondering what some of the projects were, the first one is a LS3 hotcam V8 swap pushing out 500hp. This was our second V8 conversion we have done on the Solstice and it came out very clean.

With that much power it was easy to burn down some tires -

The other big project we were finishing up was a 700hp twin-charged Ariel Atom. Fully built engine with a M62 supercharger and a Garret GTX3076 pushing over 620hp at the wheels on a car that weighs 1400lbs, pretty fun

There is no way we would leave you guys, I am loving my little 1.4, we have over 13,000 miles on her now in only 5 months Lots of testing!

Suprisingly not as much as the Ariel Atom 500 that they sell and this build would crush that factory build. With the twincharge setup we had 350ft/lbs of torque at the wheels at 2000rpm and then it just kept going up from there.

It is one of the better days when I have to go "test" certain cars

I'm not sure I'd like a V8 in the Sonic. Maybe a VR6 swap would be fun (chosen not only for my love of the engine itself and the orgasmic sounds the exhaust makes, but for it's compact size, LOL).

Prob just put some 8.5/1 forged slugs in and a metal heAd gasket with some head studs and run 35-40 lbs boost with all the supporting mods of coarse like turbo, exh manifold, injectors... Don't you guys think 300 whp possible with a decent amount of reliability? Just over 2hp/liter is average for the performance built turbo cars.. 500hp sti's and 400 hp turbo Hondas... I think we can hit 300 fairly easily with our 1.4's as long as we can get more air in and out. It's gonna be interesting to see how much they can make. I'm still surprised that people can get over 500 hp out of a hyabusa ! They're smaller than our motors

I and many other sedan owners would really love a nice system from DDMworks. You guys have a very nice sounding system for the 1.4 turbo and 1.8 hatch but we sedan owners are feeling a little left out of the fun. Please make a system for us sedan owners too! Please...

In the hatch exhaust thread he said the sedan is coming in tomorrow for fitting and he will get pics up soon.
