Cost of a little hydraulic jack, $12, cost of socket set, $10, savings versus having shop do the work, $40, value of being able to say you did it yourowndamnself, $priceless.
Remember the car weights less than two tons, and you don't need to lift the entire car, two wheels stay on the ground, meaning you're working with leverage. You need a second jack because you have to lift the car, lift the engine. A more expensive but safer alternative would be a pair of ramps, and you'll still be under the $60 or so a mechanic should charge for a job this simple.
(assumes you shop at Harbor Freight... if you go to a Home Depot you may end up only breaking even on this. Not counting the "priceless" part)

Shops are quoting $150, it's a lot cheaper to do it myself.
I don't think I need ramps, I can make some with stuff around the house ie assorted cuts of wood lying around to drive the car up on.
I can use the Jack to support the motor and I'm gathering up all the tools needed which I'm sure I'm missing a few.
Any mount spent on tools to do the job is an investment, if I paid a shop it would be throwing the money away.
While I'm down there I can change the transmission fluid and install the engine belly pan

I'm in Washington state.
I was able to install both in just under 30 minutes with a wrench and ratchet after getting a jack and jackstand.
The upper mount was broken in by another member and the lower transmission mount I received new, I'm still breaking it in but it has calmed considerably.

I just got both my engine and tranny mount. My tranny mount is not so pretty.It has a few paint chips and white all over my red paint. Overall im happy that theyre here!

I could nt see the pics...... Yet. I can't speak for your consumer satisfaction or expectations. But just consider that once it's installed.... YOU WILL NEVER SEE IT.
if you are unsatified, by all means TTR should/will likely take care of you, but the aesthetics of this mount are of little importance, IMO.

Wish he would have contacted us first before posting, but yes you are right, no one sees the lower mount really once installed.Never the less we need to know what happed so we will work with Alex to get this figured out.

We have it all squared away. They are great mounts, and high quality. I was just surprised when I first opened the box, it had looked as if the tranny mount had gone through hell and back. All the weird white substance came off with the suggestion of ttr. Still a few scuffs but most likely do to Fedex. Thanks for the quality mounts and customer service ttr. Will post pics and reviews when I get a moment away from work. (Probably Friday). I highly recommend these mounts and ordering with ttr.
