Brand New Engine/Trans Mounts and HARDLY Any Vibrations

Has anyone installed just the lower mount without the upper? I put both in my old cavalier and had quite a bit of vibration. I replaced the upper with stock and left the dogbone poly mount in and got rid of 99% of the vibrations but kept almost the same feel. Just wondering if this might be the case with the sonic?

My 02 Z24 had both engine mounts and both trans mounts in it. Vidrations were not to bad. Eventually when I build a new engine for the 98 I will be getting new mounts for it.

Possibly aftertax time i may be getting the mounts for the Sonic.

In the interest of performance, I rank these up there with getting a tune.
Once you have your engine/trans tightly mounted to your chassis, any power upgrades you do afterwards can be felt much more directly.

I still don't think the title should say NO vibrations... That's not entirely true. As far as a car with poly mounts the vibrations are quite mild, but I wouldn't say there is no vibrations by any means

Nah I have my mounts and am quite happy with them, but if I was buying them and expecting them to vibrate as little as stock I wouldn't be happy

I think the main reason it was titled as such is because Eric couldn't stand just the engine mount. With the addition on the engine and trans mount it reduced the vibes to the point that he could stand to drive the car with the engine mount installed. I agree, poly mounts aren't going to give you that rubber smooth drive train but the rubber doesn't give you the tight drive train poly gets you. As you know, it's a trade off.
