I am trying to wrap my head around 400hp in a 2700lb car. My memory is the 2005 Corvette had 400hp in a 3100lb wrapping.

Roughly 3300 with a tank of gas, but yeah. The Sonic has potential to be a Corvette killer.

Another update; Kevin has completed his tests on the Cruze clutch system, and will be putting together a kit and shipping it to me for Sonic testing. I went a little deeper than his minimum kit, getting kevlar and a new flywheel, but the test should be valid for all stages of Sonic.
I expect to receive the whole thing sometime late next week or early the week after, will get it installed and do some road testing (and maybe a dyno, I found a place nearby) and if all goes well he'll be offering various kits shortly after that. I think BNR said they will be carrying them, so we'll even have our own in house vendor for that.
Eager to see reports back on the TTR clutch as well.

Sounds great! Any chance you would be willing to do a write up on general clutch replacement with pictures while your at it for us that will be doing our own clutch replacements? I know that would help a ton of us out.

did he give any specs on the flywheel? I'm assuming it will be lighter than stock right?

Yup a factory GM kit was ordered in about a month ago, have been working on it since. Finally came up with what is felt as the best solutions.
Prices should be the best around, along with some of the best holding kits that will ever be on the market.

I dont, but it will be rated in torque when I am given it... HP doesnt kill a clutch, torque does.
Stage 1 will be best for minor bolt ons ( 1-2 items, like an intake and exhaust)
Stage 2 will be best for basic bolt ons PLUS have with a good power added tune
stage 3 will be for those who upgrade the turbo (when it comes out from places), nitrous, all out power.
This is the basis we will be designing the stages around.
