bmw popped silicon/rubber pipes all the time. we even had the hard plastic pieces split. and they're only on 7 psi. the sonic is almost 3x this amount. the pope diameter is similar in size as well. maybe 1/2" difference.
i've said it before and i'll say it again...you have many people telling you what's better/best and you're ignoring it. DO WHAT YOU WANT...because you're going to any way.
to the OP, sorry this got way out of hand on a bickering issue. there will be very little performance gain because 20psi is 20psi...and the engine can only consume so much cfm. however, longevity/looks department.....everyone likes shiny n aluminum gets it. however, silicon is cheaper and easier to install. so...again, it's up to you.
