we just joined the club at 36k on a 2012 ....... ughhh
I was replacing my air filter when I noticed a crack in my intake hose which wasn't fully cracked all the way through so i played it safe and I duck taped it. The new material duct should be here thursday or friday this week. It was 50 damn bucks for that piece of rubber haha chevy needs to recall those hoses I'm sure a lot of us did some damage allowing crap into our engine since a small hole or crack won't give you a check engine light. But nope chevy decided to save there behind by producing a different material one and calling it a day. oh well.
I also just now am in the process of replacing the stock intake tube with an original one from GM, #94537633, hopefully I ordered the correct one. Getting it from EBay ,item sold by chevynationparts. $42.43
I just replaced the thermostat, about $100.00, and the oxygen sensor upstream, AC Delco 213-4699 GM Original Equipment Heated Oxygen Sensor $43.24 from Amazon, and I was still getting the p0171 error code. Thanks to this forum again, I was able to find the cracked intake hose or tube.
Done. It was replaced with no real fuss and it didn't take very long. Of course it was covered by the warranty so that makes sense. Happy to have it solved!
What dealership? I'd love to tell my dealership to call them, my dealership here wouldn't replace it
Switch to hard piping. Problem solved![]()
What parts are needed to hard pipe 1.8L non turbo? Want to order them and do this mod
I looked up the part number for the new material one by taking the part number from the picture cheddar lump posted and it apparently doesn't exist. I can't find it anywhere haha.
