2013 LT sedan 50k miles. Sure seems like this should be a recall issue... too many people having the same problem, including myself, ordered replacement from Ebay for $40.00. Completely unimpressed with the poor quality part that has the potential to cause serious damage to the engine.

Originally part was made of NBR/PVC - Nitrile Butadiene Rubber/PVC blend. Part # 95489808.
Replacement material is EPDM rubber Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer Part # 94537633

Does the 1.4T have an equivalent new duct and part number?

Nope. 1.4 has a totally different routing than the 1.8 so I don't think it is a concern.
Yes it could. Install the tube. Hard reset the codes, and wait and see.

OK, disconnected negative battery cable, installed new intake duct, reconnected battery cable. Upon first start and drive around the block no CEL. Upon second restart, CEL back on. Going to verify if it's the same P2076 code, if it is, does anybody know if this will be covered under powertrain warranty?
I neglected to mention that you should let the car idle for two minutes following the reset in order to recalibrate the volumetric flow rate of the intake(MAF).
Reset for 30 mins or use a programmer to clear the codes. Then start the car. Do not touch the throttle or the transmission. Let it idle for at least 2 mins. I like to run a little longer at idle. Once complete, don't shut it off and take it for a drive.
If this does not work, it should be covered by the powertrain warranty.

Not to easy after having back surgery a few months ago, this problem has left a bad taste in my mouth about Chevy, the fact that they knew it was bad and just changed the material it is made from. Because of this, I'm seriously considering trading in and going back to old reliable Mazda.

Got the part and it took all of 10 minutes to replace. Weird angle to loosen the bottom part of the duct so I can totally see how having a bad back would make this repair incredibly difficult.
Chevy really needs to address this.

As an added benefit - the rough idle I have had for years has just about gone away!
