We have a winner with the caliper, working on finishing up the drawings for production to start on the finished brackets. They are going to fit with the stock 15" rims also :banana:

Thanks Dave! I was concerned that would not fit on 15's! Bigger brakes are on my to do list and I will be buying the rear disc conversion also!
Do you have a estimated price for the fronts? Or for the whole kit for that matter?

Not that my car is fast enough to need the better braking, but the stock pedal feel blows in my car. Just another thing to pay attention too.

maybe it's a 1.8 v. 1.4 thing, or maybe it's just my car.

my brakes are real grabby at parking lot speeds. i can't comment on the rest because I've yet to do any hard braking in the sonic.

Mine are the same way. But then again I drive truck and when I get in my car for the first time the brakes take getting use to no matter what. I wish my sonic brakes felt like my Pete.

Its not wet sponge soft, but i think my 96 K1500 with a blown line to the rear brakes has a had a slightly firmer pedal.

I wonder if anyone has braided stainless lines in the works for this car?

Braided stainless lines, J hook rotors and fixed calipers, DOT 4 synthetic fluid, and maybe figuring out a way to improve the rear drums will be in order.

Been about 3 weeks since this last update. I hope this becomes available soon.

I'm pretty sure this will be my next big upgrade before trying to add more power.

I would assume stock size. Any bigger and it might not fit in 15 inch rims.

I dont feel as though the stock rotors are inadequate for the platform. They are a rather beefy rotor compared to what I am used to. The single piston caliper is the weak point. Also, if its a stock sized rotor it will allow for more options as they become available. WHen I do finally use up my front pads (looking like I have at least another 50k to go ) I will be looking to swap to a set up like this one. I sure hope this kit is ready by then.

My question is this : ok so in a couple years say the caliper locks up/ not working right, what's the cost of a new one vs the one in the zzp kit. Also what are the pad prices?
