Right. Forgot about that pic. I looked again and I think I might need an arrow pointing at the problem area.

I don't have the energy to shop an arrow right now. But look at the big gap between the shield and the passenger fender well, where all the white paint is showing. The shield should pull into that spot much better when it's aligned properly.

It's not really gonna effect performance, but I don't want to look like I'm sponsored by Redneck Racing Solutions.

That wasn't an indirect insult to you rdss, your DIY intake actually looks quite pro.

I think I see the problem now, it's leaning towards the engine vs. being straight up vertical. I prefer RNi (redneck industries!) for my RNi SRI by CK.

Here's the pics. A 15min fix. I used nylon spacers to lift the shield 3/4" off of the TTR mount.

Good deal. Are the spacers bolted on by the load bearing bolts holding the motor mount down?

Yup. I chose nylon in an attempt to mildly dampen the vibration of the solid mount. After 1000miles I may switch to aluminum, because I expect the nylon will need to be re-torqued often.

Maybe go with nylon washers with aluminum spacers. I would be worried about them backing out or worse, snapping.

Am I the only person on here that threw away the cheesy coil cover the first day I bought the car. I think it looks goofy compared to the proper valve cover.

I would love to have a simple stainless cover down the middle of valvecover just covering the coil pack. Somebody must be good with sheetmetal work. Cough Cough "DDM" cough.

Does the double heat shroud help with temperatures?

It does help with intake air temps and that is one of the things I have been testing (if you notice the heatshield is not on the intake in that picture and the reason why). We are working on something in that area though...

dave i have this injen intake in what was suppose to be black but its more like a black metallic would you guys have a color match to go with it if i ordered the cover? if so count me in.
