My first ticket was on my 19th birthday doing 55 in a 25. When the officer said "going a little fast arnt we?" I said "I didn't think so" like a retard because I was nervous and just told the truth.

He wrote it down as 49 as he claimed he would have had to take my license for 55, don't know if that was true or not. My ticket was more than yours and that was in 1999.

My last ticket in 06 was 365 dollars, It doesn't matter how much it is, i'm pissed that they are adding money, I don't care if its just 1 dollar they are adding, when they tell me some B.S that I had a speeding ticket in the last 3 years so they are adding another 100 on to it, it pisses me off and makes me lose faith in the justice system when I know for a fact the last one I got was like 7 years ago.

I guess its an incentive to make you not speed, I don't know. Maybe its not even legal, you would need to do some digging to find out. On top of that you said you haven't had one in three years so you definitely need to go down there and talk to the prosecutor anyway.
