So now that my rs has a bit more fury I feel inclined to talk about it and the stuff I've done to it a bit. Not that I'm doing something that hadn't been done before, I just feel like expressing my thoughts on it all.

I got the car handed to me right off the truck so its pretty cool to know that not a hand other than mine has been underneath it other than the factory.

Today I ported the intake manifold, added a secondary cat delete pipe, and flashed a trifecta tune.

First impressions on the tune were pretty good. I drove it before the ported intake and after. It ran fine before porting, but I have to say that porting the intake manifold really brought that car to life (makes sense since it was tuned for it, but still cool)

Its been snowing most of the day so the roads kind of suck, but I'm losing a lot more traction now. I feel like I have less bottom end, but that may just be because of how strong the top end is.

Its cool to be pulling a hill in 6 with cruise on, they clicking it off (selectatune) and pulling it easily.

I can barely tell the difference the second cat delete made as far as sound goes. Kinda disappointed honestly, but its all about function anyway. 2 cats for that engine is dumb.

Its so hard not to floor it everywhere. It completely comes alive around 3k. I did get an engine light that came on when i did a 3rd to 4th no lift shift, it came on with the traction control and went back off like 30 seconds later. Ill take a few logs today.

yeah, i hit my main road and reamed into 4th, looked down at speedo, saw 80, looked up, saw cop (in a 35)

Ive been even worse today since i took the abs fuse out.

Well I hit a curb because I hit some Ice. I'm pretty depressed about it. I wasn't being stupid, just slid on some ice, it broke the front bumper beyond repair, scratched the rear and tore up both wheels on the passenger side. Car pulls to the right a little bit.

Estimate on repair? My front bumper is different from a regular sonic isn't it?

front bumper replacement, wheels, rear bumper, probable suspension damage, and an alignment. not cheap.

Well my family owns an legitmate garage/body shop, so the repair for me is basically at cost - my personal time. I'm pretty lucky to have the resources honestly. I kinda figure two rs wheels from gm (where else would you even get them?) would probably equate to the price of a full set of aftermarket wheels. So I'm Still pretty upset about it, but It will all work out in the end.

Are you getting a whole new bumper? If so can I buy the mesh inserts out of your old one?

That happened to me. I hit some ice and slid into a stop sign. Fortunately the extent of my damage was the lower grill. I ordered a replacement from rock auto for cheap and put it on yesterday. Like it never even happened

damage total was about 2700.

new front bumper is about 465 (not disclosing my price)

wheels are 311 each (not putting stock ones back on it)

i think there was about 100 in the fog and bracket for one side, maybe 150. Id have to look.

It looked like i had unique part numbers for the inner fender too, i could be wrong but its something to note if someone wants to do a front bumper swap.
