Still having problems. I shut off the code. Next day I took off the gas cap and put it back on tight until I heard clicks. I immediately start it to see cel is on again. Coincidence? I don't know. Later I got gas. Started my car afterwards and it was running like s***. It was horrible. A lot of hesitation and sounded like it wanted to stall. I am totally convinced it is the evap valve. I want to take the car in next week after I get back in town. I hope my car survives until then.

Sounds like the purge solenoid - your car should be just fine.

Cel came back on. I made an appointment for Friday. My bf is a believer now. He filled up my car and started it and it did the same thing for him. The lady on the phone for the service desk asked if I needed an oil change. *facepalm she thinks my cel is on because I need an oil change lol. I have 42% oil life remaining.

On the main screen in the drop down menus: Go to Program, Adjust Tune Settings, OBD2 DTCs & Readiness Monitors , uncheck the codes listed in post #64, then reflash.

I did. Under warranty too iirc. It was the purge solenoid, just went bad one day.

@AdorableKaren, I'm having the same issues and my automatic start no longer works either. I have a 2012 Sonic LTZ w/ Turbo. I'm at 99K miles, but don't want to go to a dealership due to having an aftermarket high flow K&N air filter on the car and I don't feel like taking it off...again to go to the dealer. Could you tell me the specific part you replaced? I'm looking to do it myself and when I look at Oreilys site.. There are 3 options. I'll attach the screen shot of my options.

Any help is appreciated! My sonic seems to be running worse everyday.
