finally something we can work with.
Evaporative Emissions (EVAP) System Flow During Non-Purge. It's when the system detects more than 5" H20 during a non-purge condition for more than 2 minutes. go to the dealer. good luck.
To be more through, I say go to the dealer because it could also be a malfunctioning, improperly installed, or damaged EVAP canister purge valve, or just the solenoid. Dealer will be able to tell you exactly what's wrong.

while i am all for discussing the specifics of your check engine light, isnt you car covered under warranty? your visit to gm should be covered by the factory

The evaporative canister is filled with activated charcoal and stores fumes from the gas tank. The issue is with a component of that system.

Ehh that still doesn't make sense to me lol but thank you guys for your speedy replies. I know I can just turn off the light but is something really wrong with my car? What would a dealership say if I brought it in to look at?

It's also not the kind of thing to be too worried about, it's not a serious problem. Worst case is your venting gas fumes to the atmosphere, or possibly into the interior or for states that do pump down tests as part of the emission test you might fail.
Edit: Serious meaning you won't ruin your engine, gas fumes are serious especially if parking near an ignition source or if you are breathing them.

I have never had a problem and some of my cars were clearly modified.
I will say no mod has gotten as much attention in the service bay as the hood, so be prepared.

Majority of the time this code is due to the gas cap not secured properly. I would first remove/re-insert your gas cap clear the code and see if it comes back. If it does, read this. P0496 Chevrolet Evaporative Emission System Flow During Non-Purge OBDII Engine Light Trouble Code | Engine-Codes.com

From what I have read the option to disable it is in the EZ Flash software.
The other option is to use a j-fitting so that you do not have to disable the CEL.

I did mine awhile ago but I believe you have to choose which codes you want to disable then you have to flash your tune again. That way it saves instead of just clearing the codes temporarily. I have the zzp full turbo back exhaust so I was getting the cel for o2 sensors as well.

On page 27 of my build thread Pre and Eric told me to disable p2096, p2097, and p0420. You must uncheck the codes first then tune again for the lights to stay off.
