I'd recommend running a relay. Your switch power can come from any switched 12v making it easy to pick from the inner fuse panel close to where you'll probably mount the switch
The switch triggers the relay, relay gets hot from the battery and back out to fogs. Direct current for the lights, off when you shut off the car
