That would be covered by the bumper to bumper warranty: If you have more than 3/36, it would be your responsibility.

I just had mine replaced when I was in for my Timing belt / water pump replacement.
Was replaced under warranty and my car has just over 97K miles. I do not have extended warranties either.:banana:

The only difference between the 2 links is about 2 inches of length.

2012 Sonic about 50K miles just had this done - should Chevy pay?

I have a 2012 Sonic purchased used. Before the pre-owned warranty expired I heard a clunking noise from front end. Dealer unable to repeat/diagnose. It slowly got worse until I took it in again and then they diagnosed it as sway bar link bushings which I paid about $260 to have done. Now I see this is subject of a Chevy factory campaign and I am wondering if my repairs should have come within this? Any thoughts out there if I should bother to pursue this or just suck it up? Seems like pretty low mileage for this type of repair, in fact of all the cars I have owned over about 35 years I have never done this repair!

You bought it used so warranty probably different. Can't hurt to push back and see what they say. Only good can come from it.
