Full replacement mustacheless grill

Question: Is mounting a license plate an option wanted?

I've been following this (and a lot on the forum) pretty quietly. No mods yet, but this could be the first! Being from NJ, a license plate option would make life real easy.

Looking for more of a duct or just an accented opening?

I already have a bad ass grill prototype from last spring, don't really need another. The construction just wasn't cost effective to produce more. There is no turning back with this project. I have somewhere around 80+ hrs in this already. The beauty of this design is the stacking of unique visual layers on top of a common mounting tab assembly.

Again if there's anyone who wants to get their creative juices flowing and have some influence, I have front view profiles you could draw on.

I'm very interested in this. Also would need a license plate mount. Nothing fancy, maybe just a few of honeycombs have slightly thicker plastic to zip tie a plate to. As far as designs? I'm happy with how to stock grill looks.

Im in canada and would also appreciate a way to hook my plate in. Ya maybe thicker combs or sonething would work nice

Wrapped up the initial staggered holes design last week and have been hunting very hard for reasonable vendors. Not so easy when its such a small niche product with low quantity. Should have the vendor locked this week.

Shown with or without a plate mount. Each/any design can have a plate mount added in really any location/angle.

I like the holes, but why are some of them blocked? Is it an air flow issue, will the engine get to cold?

I was trying to find a way to stagger chevy bowties in the blanks you sent me, but I think that it looks terrible once I put them in.

This was just a quick visual pattern to see a more complete product. The custom designs will be wrapped up later this week. Should have 3-5 options to choose from for this first round.

I'm pretty sure I will be filling in the area where the mustache normally is but behind the design similar to how the RS grill is.

The upper holes on the lower grill are cover just as much as the stock grill. Its right in front of a big steel crash-bar. Something I personally wouldn't want to see. The RS grill does the same thing. If preferred, I can take that out.

Maybe open up the holes and apply a flat piece of black plastic or plastidip to the crash beam?

This is what would be behind the mustache. Pretty ugly but I suppose you could paint it black and you'd hardly notice. It's a very easy "option" to include it or remove it. Each design will have this option.

Mmmm either or, Id like the intercooler to be very noticeable, but I also would still like it to be protected from debri and such

It wouldn't be very hard but I do not have access to an RS at the moment for testing. It would merely be adjusting for the new profile. Let me get the non-RS style wrapped up first.

I'll be doing at least 1 of each (staggered hole/stock) for the samples. I'll make sure at least 1 of them doesn't have the crash-bar blocking plate.

Each production grill will be lasered to order. I have numerous configurations and swapping between them is fairly easy. It gives the consumer the most freedom.

now, I just wish I had my own laser/router. Trying to sneak my parts in during the "busy" season is going to be interesting.

Have you considered leaving a small plate on the upper grill for lettering to be stuck to like this or have it at least and option. Just a few more ideas lol.

lettering and possible turbo badges could sit nicely up there!
