full tune

i bought full tune with the cable a while ago, but never put it on the car. I have everything that came with the cable and also original tune file. I have never put it on the car and therefore never contacted for adjustments on the tune. Asking $300 shipped

The tune file is vin specific. There for it will only work on your car

Sub meant VIN specific. hahah! As he said, the tune file only works for your car.. you can sell the red cable though. Why didnt you put the tune on the car...

I thought cable controlled the vin numbers like HP tuners. So when originally purchased the ask for a vin number? I wonder if I can contact them to get it changed. I never even installed the software and the car is for sale

Nope. The tune it self controls the vin. You might be able to ask for a refund but I don't know how that would work....

You purchased the tune and didn't use it. That is not Trifecta's issue. If you're keeping the car I highly recommend tuning the car then logging it for updates and then getting rid of the cable. Your best option to get any money back is to sell the cable for 100 shipped and cut your losses, you're going to get nothing for a VIN locked file.
