Oh no bushmaster :-/

Don't hate, I've had no problems out of it plus I changed all the parts in it so its no longer a true bushmaster. the only thing thats a Bushmaster is the barrel the upper and lower receiver and those are good to go. The problems that people have with Bushmasters come from the BCG and I replaced that with a BCM so, yeah.

I couldn't care any less about the commercial buffer tube because i'm not going to be hanging off it like a monkey and as far as the front sight goes, mines sighted in at 100 yards so no problems.

Anyone here have any experience shooting smaller .40 cal handguns? I have never actually shot a .40 before, but 10mm is nice.

If ya shot a 10 then 40 will be easy, it's recoil is just like the 10 just less of it. I don't know if I'd want the 40 in a smaller frame though, my buddy has a pocket 40 and its okay for a couple of shots then starts beating on ya.

I can shoot my Springfield XD Subcompact all day and accurately. It has a good amount of snap but it is not unmanageable. I would prefer a 45ACP over it but until the SA XDs came out with a 5+1 there really wasn't an option that I liked. If you want to talk about a SMALL uncomfortable gun to shoot look at the Ruger LCP, it is great as a carrier weapon but not for shooting for fun.

Glock 27 also shoots awesome but not what I'd call a pocket pistol unless ya got Hugh pockets. I have a keltec p3at which is identical to the LCP and yeah those things kick. Small and compact but not fun to shoot.

This is what I have right to left...Winchester 32 special, ithaca 16 ga,mossberg 500, marlin 22, savage 22, ak 74, ruger mini 14, and 30-06. Pistols bottom to top, glocks 23,29,26, Taurus 357, keltec 380, 1911, 45 long colt. The pink handled ones are the wife's carry guns.

My first gun was a Marlin .22 i remember making a silencer out of a two liter bottle and paper towels lol

I have a Kel-Tec PF-9 (basically the same as a LC9, LCP is a .380) and its not that bad to shoot. 50 rounds in one sitting is about my limit though. DB380 is a blast to shoot, M&P9c is amazingly comfortable, G32 has a loud bark but very manageable to shoot. The G32 is actually kinda fun to shoot at the range when new people are around.

Slight contridiction (sp) there.

The LC9 is comparable to a PF-9 and the LCP is comparable to a P3AT. The Ruger is basically a slightly modified copy of the Kel-Tec.

That being said, the PF-9 is snappy but manageable. Never shot a P3AT or LCP though.

Yep, the LC9 is comparable to the P290 which is a better comparison as well, I'm just stating that the controllability of the LC9 is better than the smaller brother known as the LCP and that it is the most uncomfortable gun I've shot, but it fits it job extremely well (pocket pistol). It will never be a range queen as its not intended for that.

Odd that the small 9 is easier to control than the slightly smaller .380. The DB380 is very easy to control and its tiny.

Yeah, there isn't much barrel on the LCP. The P290 has a bull barrel. It's good enough to do its intended job. I bring the XDm 40 to the range to tear holes in paper.

I also want a full size 9mm that will reliably feed something other than trunciated cone bullets. Anything loaded with a standard round nose does not feed well through the FM90.

I want to get a 357 Sig and 9mm barrel (plus 9mm mags) for my XDm for your reasons above. I've shot my buddies 10mm beside my unfortunately long gone SA 1911 mil-spec and it didn't really give me anything more but it was a lot louder (could have been the cheap rounds he buys) but if you think it costs money to shoot 45 acp you better save some money to buy the 10mm.

10mm varies greatly between typical loads and proper 10mm loads. I have fired both through a range gun. Huge difference in recoil and noise. My only complaint about 10mm is that the few options i have access to are borderline to large of a grip for my hands.

I need to find some .357 bulk ammo for close to 9mm store prices.
