Hesitation during acceleration???

I am having an issue with my 2012 1.8l automatic sonic. Taking off from lights it starts bucking/ hesitating / losing power. It doesn't do it every time, but it has started to do it more often lately. Doesn't matter if the engine is hot or cold. Seems to do it more with the a/c on. I changed the spark plugs (gaped them to specs I found on this forum) & air filter. I really don't want to just throw parts at it. It's also not throwing any codes. This is driving me nuts! Any help would be awesome! Thanks!

Is this where you lose power momentarily and then immediately regain it, and this only happens when pulling away from a full stop?

I have this same problem, and I have a completely different Sonic; the1.4T engine and manual transmission. I think it is something in the ECU, I remember seeing someone complain about it and being told it was supposed to be helpful.

It is -not- helpful. Maybe it can be fixed as part of a tune?

It does it anytime i take off under i would say 20mph and or stops. Almost got me into an accident this morning pulling out of turn lane crossing traffic. Push the gas, power, no power, power, no power then drives normal until you go to take off again. Almost like a dead miss only at take off. That's why i thought spark plugs. If it is something Chevy has done to ecu they need to change/fix it! Can't keep driving like this my daughter & wife ride/drive this car everyday.

Found & fixed the problem. It was the air intake tube all cracked & dry rotted. thanks for the help!

Not surprising. Proving the be the 1.8's number 1 enemy.
