Isn't vtec a cam lob change a Vvt just shifting the whole cam
you're comparing early 90s to today. Now it's iVTEC, and it's damn near the same thing.

What you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this forum is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

I think we'll manage.Btw I'm on a new phone and I'm trying to get a hang of the keyboard sorry if I **** a few words up
Im sorry you feel that way. But I always thought vtec was when it jumped Over to a "power" lob controlled by oil pressure and Vvt was just phasing the whole cam.

Billy Madison.
You either love it or hate it.
I would just like to add a note that VTEC and VVT are two very different things.
That is seriously late. When I'm driving conservatively, I always shift at or before 2k rpm (1.8L 5MT) except for first gear. Gotta save me some gas!
Maybe I'm a little different, but I find the M mode great when the motor is cold-which in North Dakota, seems to be about 13 months a year lately. (We had 8.8 inches of new snow the last couple of days.)
When the motor is cold, it takes forever to get the transmission to shift to higher gears. I've found it's easier on the engine to shift at lower speeds and rpm in M mode than in full auto.
I also prefer to use M when the roads are icy. I like the control I have in M mode.
