How many "older" people own a sonic?

Four month update.
Made a 600 mile road trip and I'm pleased with the ride comfort and handling of the Michelin Premier tires. Seats were comfortable and I averaged 33.7 mpg. No complaints so far however there are times when I wish it had a little more power. Overall I enjoy driving it.
Well, it's been a full month with my 2013 Sonic hatchback and I'll have to admit I like it much more now than when I first got it. After adding a wide angle rear view mirror and removing the rear head restraints to make visibility better, having the front brake issue corrected, fixing the wind noise from the hatch, padding the door armrests, and hooking up an UltraGauge to monitor coolant temperature (and other things) instead of relying on an idiot light, I'm beginning to see why so many people really like this little car.
It definitely feels and sounds solid even when dealing with these nasty Massachusetts potholes. It has a nice tight turning radius and is real peppy around town. I'm still contemplating whether I should spend the money on a set of Michelin Premier A/S tires instead of keeping the rather noisy Regulson the car. At around $700 for a set of four including installation I'm hesitating. If a few hundred dollars somehow magically appears I know where it's going! In the meantime I'll just keep on drivin'.

I got the sonic for a few reasons: American made, better mpg while 'standing' with the air cranked than my dodge pickup gets when babied on the highway, easily fits in parking spaces that I could never even attempt to squeeze the dodge into. Actual highway mpg is unbelievable compared to anything that I have ever owned with 4 wheels. I grew up on trucks & cars that were lucky to hit 15mpg. The crash rating is also a plus for a car this small.
The only grip I have about the sonic is that it doesn't handle potholes/bad sections of road as gracefully as it looks as if it could. If I keep her beyond the warranty I will definely look into a better dampening suspension. But for the price you get alot. That's my $.02

Hey, I'm 56, and will be 57 in August, and I own one BAD Sonic! Always been a car guy, I have a '77 Bandit T/A which is now a show car. I bought it brand new in '76, and still have it. I originally got the Sonic for the mileage, as I was driving 140 miles round trip every day. I started wondering if there was anything I could do to make the car perform better, and the rest is history! LOVE this little car! Mods: Borla Cat Back, BNR Downpipe, Chrome Grill inserts, K & N CAR, Toyo tires. Next, a Trifecta tune.

I'm only a year behind you and also a lifelong car guy. You're going to have the biggest smile when you get that tune. I bought mine 3 years ago and loved it so much that I got an RS for my son 2 years ago and an LT last year for my daughter. All 3 are tuned but mine has more mods!

im 58, 2014 rs auto, owned and have driven just about everything ever made from 1966 to date, I love this car!!!! its the nicest riding, good handling, great gas mileage, and BIG inside small car I have ever had, very little road noise, little cars usually sound like you are riding a skateboard lol. and it has the potential to be fast, I know, mine is ! and what else can u get for under 20k. I think gm did a real good job with this car, and it will probably get better, the only option they forgot UNFORTUNATELY was the LS-6 LOL!!!!!

Mid 40s and I think the charcoal colored 4dr sedan is very mature looking. Only thing keeping it from looking like a total family car is the 6M & limited rear legroom. However, I think it is still more age appropriate than a mid life crisis car like a Camaro would be.

41, first car in almost 15 years (all been trucks). Needed something inexpensive, good on gas, and fun to drive. I used to race a small car way back in the day (SCCA autocross/compact drags in a Dodge Neon) and I'm looking forward to kidding my LTZ hatchback to make it more fun
