Another thing that will be interesting in the near future is whether trade in values for cars made pre 2015 will be worth anything or if consumer equity in their current cars and trucks plummets to zero.
This has happened a few times and none of this has happened. In reality, the higher cost of making higher tech cars forces people to look for used cars. Many car makers have avoided this by removing standar features or decontent. This is why auto makers now have stratospheric option packages.
Then you have the slew of issues that follow new designs. I can personally attest to seeing some very loyal car owner jump ship due to changes made that will never be reversed.
