Sorry, by the time I read through the thread, I forgot you were using a bluetooth receiver. Have you decided which? Are you going to use your existing Jensen?

I won't be keeping the Jensen, or any H/U for that matter. I can't remember the exact name of the BT receiver, but it takes in the BT signal, and outputs to RCA which will then go to the EQ.

So, I stopped at Advance on the way home to pick up fiberglassing stuff, and the cashier asked "What are you working on?" So I told him I was putting a tablet in my dash. He answered with a confused look and "Like uhh... internet tablet?"

Anyway, I have my fiberglass resin and whatnot. Waiting for it to either warm up, or me to find a warm ventilated area to proceed.
Looks like my NFC tags will be here tomorrow, my POGO probes will be here at the end of this week, and my RCA level controllers some time this week as well.

Nice! One of my favorite ways to cure Small enough pieces of fiber glass is to use a cheap oven and bake at it a super low temp. it set's off nicely with less hardner so you have more time to work with it.

Just so everyone knows, no, I haven't given up on this project lol. I'm just extremely busy with work, and it's a bit too cold to be fiber glassing at the moment.

Alright, time to get the ball rolling.
I've made a few more changes, and I think I finally know what I'm doing.

Audio Build:
Headunit: Nexus 7
EQ: Clarion EQS746
Door Speakers: Rockford Fosgate P165 (x4)
Speaker Amp: Skar Audio 85.4 A/B
Subwoofers: Skar Audio VVX-12 | Dual 4 Ohm (x2)
Sub Amp: Skar Audio 800.1D
Sub Box: Ported ~32Hz built from birch

I have a box design already, and will be building the box soon.

Other things added to the list:
- Roof rack (Not sure what brand yet)
- Shark fin antenna
- LTZ door handles
- Tint
- Possibly lower and rims

I made a little progress on the dash. I have done the fiberglassing, but now I have a lot of sanding, priming, painting, etc.

Change of plans, he answered me.
I will be going with VVX v2, instead of the VVX. They are due out at the end of this month.

I have ordered the 800.1D, should be here in a few days.

It's not the prettiest thing, but it will all be covered up.

I will be covering the card slot thing and putting 2 knobs there. One for volume, and one for subwoofer controller. Once I get that done, I plan to add a thin felt of some sort to the place for the nexus to sit in.

I still need to figure out how I will make sure the Nexus doesn't move while its in there. I'm not 100% sure if I'm going to be doing the POGO charging at the moment. I'm getting a little tired of this project already, and just want to be done with it... lol.

Next step is some body filler. Hope to get that done in the next couple of days.

Got my 800.1D in today, went ahead and hooked it up. Pretty excited. No progress on the dash today.

However, I wanted to say my and my Sonic had our 1 year anniversary this weekend. Lol. I put a little more than I thought a 19 year old college kid would in a year, 22k miles.

Dash time. It's been a while... Anyway, time to start working on this again... lol

The dash itself is done save for a little sanding and paint. Next is the wiring. I've ordered the Bluetooth receiver, an I think I know how I'm going to do all this.

Only thing(s) I have left to order are: A few sets of RCAs, Rockford Fosgate 3Sixty, and the amp. Then I will pretty much be ready to finish this up.

Well, she sure ain't pretty yet, but I'm getting there. Gonna apply a little bit of filler to some small holes, then get her primed, sanded, and painted, and then I'm gonna cover the pocket with a felt material of some sort.

Shot some primer, looks like I need to sand a little bit more, fill a gap or two, and then it'll be ready for final paint and some suede-like material for the Nexus bay thing.

I'm still attempting to come up with a "lip" to put on the bottom so it won't just... fall out. lol

I'll be done with the electrical/wiring side of things tomorrow afternoon. I still need to mess with the dash itself, but I'm getting close!
