Hello guys!
I have a quick question, I'm about to start building up my Sonic, and I've read that the stock intercooler and piping are okay.

So my question is what should I get?
Should I get the BNR intercooler kit
or the MPFab intercooler kit
or should I save some money now and buy DDMWorks hard charge pipes, and a ZZP intercooler later?

I have the BNR kit, looks and cools great. Wayyyyy better than the stock set up. In full blazing Florida heat it runs usually just 10 degrees over ambient temps.

MPFab makes one also but it's double the price. I like his stuff (have his SRI and DP) but dang it it's not cheap.

The MPFab kit on BNR is 800 and the BNR kit is 900. Were you referring to the ZZP intercooler?

It's okay, do you have an upgraded intercooler? Summer is approaching, and I live in the desert and it gets ridiculously hot around here. So upgrading the intercooler is something I have to do sometime in the next three months.

No. Still like MPFabs but BNR one looks bigger and shinier. Got T5 and new rear end done on my other project so it's this one's turn now.

68 Cougar? Nice! My grandpa had one of those back in the day, I think he traded it for a Mach 1 which I'm pretty sure he wrecked.

I believe BNR's unit uses a Forge core, MPfab's may be a Garrett core (can't find where he posted what he uses). They both flow more than enough for upgrades and future big turbo.

They are both quality, have yet to see anyone post a bad review on either

....if it has tits or tires it can be upgraded

Quality for sure. Super happy with my intake and downpipe from MPFab. I'll stick with Walker. Just was curious to compare. Big turbo still on my wish list and he's blazing a trail I can follow.
