Problems with unintended acceleration and buffeting

I'm not worried about commentary about my size or anything like that. I just don't have anything new to report.

I got the car back Tuesday of last week, had it two days, and was involved in a hit and run on the highway.

I must admit, the car is pretty solidly built to have the small amount of damage I ended up with. I didn't even lose my mirror. It folded in and flexed into the passenger side window (It was open) bit scuffed, and some gnarly scratches and dings along the passenger side, but otherwise fine.

Transmission seems to shifting harder than I remembered prior to dropping it off with the dealership, but it's probably just me.

To the best of my knowledge they came in, pulled the data off the car, and left it at that. No in car camera was installed.

Waiting to hear back from GM as of now.

I reported it to the police when it happened and gave them the details I had on the car.

The only reason I really sacked up and bought a new car was because of the gas prices. Just needed something decent on gas for the work commute.

Have to give Chevy credit there, they hit the sweet spot with power and efficiency with the ecoboost.

It's a great little highway commuter, just wish buffeting from semi's and the wind wasn't so severe, but it's a lightweight car, so it was to be expected.

Definitely miss my El Camino though. That thing was truly a tank.

You have obviously never had a car do something it was not supposed to do. I have been in cars that suddenly lurched due to some electronic issue. It happens, and is not always the easiest thing to find and fix.

Lurching and failure to stop in a timely manner can and do happen from time to time. All it takes is one sensor or controller to read and command something wrong. One of the many reasons I hate how everything in cars is electronically controlled now.
