The air box is open, not directly connected to the air duct.
Why not? Seems like that would be the next logical step.?

I'm sure it wouldn't be too hard for someone to home fab a plastic bottom to connect to the air duct...The biggest reason, cost. We feel we are already starting to get to the high end of price for this specific product.
Are you willing to have an option without the K&N? I would prefer to run a paper filter of the same size/spec. I donut like those filters![]()
We also have AEM dryflow filters would that be acceptable?
Yes sir, I would take that as an option. The dryflows are the only aftermarket filters I really like, but always a very personal decision![]()

We updated our selection for the filter type, the AEM dry flow filter can now be purchased with the air box.
Hey Chaos, are you talking about the upper right mount for the airbox ? If thats the oneI'm ready to pull the trigger on this. I have the manifold and intake in my shopping cart. I just need to know how the fitment for both is on the 2017. I currently have the ZZP intake and the fitment on my 17 was slightly off because the motor mounting location does sit lower than previous years.
Maddog, that's the one. I had to fab up some Z style brackets to make the ZZP box sit flush and follow the lines of the back of the bay. If I bolted it down without the fabbed bracket, it pulled the box down, pinned the intake down to the ac lines and looked warped. The RacerX intake box doesn't seem like it was any flexibility so if it doesn't sit right, I'll have to fab brackets again.
Adding a spacer and possibly a longer bolt to the rear mounting bracket should account for the difference. If you have any other questions feel free to email.
What size is the current/stock bolt?
