I called a local dealership and had an appointment scheduled and they said it wasn't covered under warranty if a rock hit it.
I tried adding a can of coolant but it leaked out in an almost unnoticeable cloud emanating from the grill/bumper area so I'm assuming the condenser is toast.
They quoted me $600 to replace it if it wasn't caused by a defect.

The lil 'Loader..... Or Freeloader, is due to arrive in January. Really wanted to be clear of my loan by then, but March is looking more realistic.
Plunking down another grand this week.
My goal is to have mine paid off by June of next year, I owe just a little over $11k. I'm gonna shoot for sooner than June but we'll see; Preloader, how 'bout a friendly little competition to see who can get theirs paid off soonest? Nothing like a good natured contest to keep motivated!
I am actually considering this as well, but I prob wouldn't trade in the Sonic, either sell it myself or just keep it. I just need an EV with a real consistent range of about 150 miles to cover my daily driving. All the current EV's don't have the range except the Model S which is a bit out of my price range.

*Includes $100 origination fee & $500 (pro-rated refundable) GAP insurance
Took the $1500 instead of the lower APR through the dealership, financed through the bank to avoid the extra hassle.
Also using the loan as an opportunity to build up my teeny-tiny credit history, and if all goes well, I'll have it paid off in 2 years.

I choose to have all my extra principle payments nice and round. I'd rather look at a $1000 payment and $7,704 balance, than a $1004 payment and a $7700 balance.
