I figured one size up would have no issues since I was told by a buddy who manages a discount tire you can just about always go one size wider. Now a 235 would be sweet, but I'm almost positive the backspacing needs to be different to bring the rim out a touch. That's at least to not rub in the rear.

235 on a 7.5" width...ehh. I'd go 8" wide for 235..that's just me though. At least you aren't doing that on a 7" wheel.

Are you lowered Smit? Nevermind...Eibach...looked at your build thread.

most OEM audi a4 wheels are 7.5" with a 235 tire

I'm going to have to compare the tire weight though. If 235 is much more, I'll go with 225.

It looks like there is 3 lbs. difference between 225 and 235 in the Direzza ZII's that I want. Probably worth it to go with the 235. I'm saving about 3 lbs. with the Sparco wheels compared to the stock 17s so...

I'm getting the sparco assetto gara black wheels and I'm deciding what to go with 205 vs 215 I hear 215 is what ppl go with I have the stock 15s with 195/65/15 now

I can't remember if these are 7" or 7.5" wide wheels but a few years ago when I considered them for my first Sonic 225/45 would have worked.

225/45 is my preferred tire for 17" wheels. If they are 7.5" then 235/40 should also work.

If you are ordering from TireRack remember they are very conservative in recommending tire sizes.

I bought some 16" gara's for 99 bucks good move on the 16" or not? Also I see that it recommends a 205 55 16 tire, will that fit?
