Swaping My Sonic.

Soooo this is what happen, my 15 year kid is just learning to drive, and work on cars. So I decided to let him do an oil change on my car. Well he messed up and started the car and with no oil in the motor. So over the next couple of months or year. I decided I am going to swap my 13bt modified into the sonic. Why 13bt, you ask well because its far more superior to a sonic motors. Also, I figured Rotary power in a sonic, since my FC is beat to hell. HELL YEA. Anybody got any questions? or thoughts feel free to post them

Why dont you believe me, they put a gtr motor in a juke. Ls1 into civics. I understand its going to be alot of work, but I have way of getting the fab done that I need too

I've also seen an f20 in a civic and 6.0 powerstroke. But you have no credibility with this association and claim such great feats you are doomed.! Btw the spark got an ls motor as well.!

So this is a turboii car right.! It looks so modded.! How much power are you making. Seeing as you have to tune these things to pretty much do any thing.? Are you running a mega squirt.? Or what program. And what size turbo and cams are you rocking.?

Rotarys dont have cams silly. I making right now 325rwhp with a gt40r at 15 psi. It needs a new tune because it runs a super rich. I am using an safc 2.

So your rotary is superior to a 1.4 turbo?

Hows it do on fuel consumption and longevity? How long do you think those apex seals will last? 20K? 50K? Superior at making power for a short period of time, sure. But superior as a power plant for a car that gets you where your going cheaply for 100-200K? Naaa..


Lets make one thing clear, I've been a fan of the Wankel design for many many years but it has its limitations, and many of them. The ONLY way I would ever have a car with a rotary is if I leased it. You wanna swap one into your car because your engine was destroyed that's cool. But the rotary is in no way superior to the 1.4T in any way other than power output.

BTW, I thought the Sonic had a float in the oil pan that would kill the fuel supply? Maybe a poor assumption?
