If you have a device plugged in to the USB port you won't have the option for Bluetooth. It's 1 or the other. Also sometimes it takes a min to get Bluetooth music. Close the source menu wait a min and try again.

Sorry, that is incorrect. They are independent of one another. Stream pandora via Bluetooth while using Bringo. Source has to be set on Bluetooth.
I have to say what you said there is incorrect. In my car at least...
We seem to have some variables in play that allow this to work for some of us but not others. Perhaps phone model, MyLink revision, etc. Seems hit or miss whether you can have both available at the same time.
This thread has a few people who like me, CAN NOT select bluetooth as an available audio source if the phone is connected to USB. The bluetooth audio source greys out as soon as my iPhone 4S is plugged into USB. Yet this arrangement is working for others. Confusing.
It may be an iPhone thing, I can't speak for android devices. I have the iPhone 5. If my wife's iPhone 5 is plugged in for charging, I can't listen to Bluetooth music from my phone. But, I can use the Bluetooth to make and receive calls.
No it's the same if my phone is the only 1 in the car also. My point was if there is any device (may only be an i device since this is all we have) plugged into the USB port the Bluetooth music icon in the source menu is greyed out, not white like the other sources. If I disconnect the USB device the Bluetooth source icon will turn white and it can be selected. I would understand not letting me listen to Bluetooth and USB off the same device, but it locks out Bluetooth music if there is a iPhone plugged in even if its not the same phone I'm trying to use for Bluetooth music.
Blue, where is this Bluetooth music icon. On MyLink? On Iphone? I don't see such a icon.![]()
It's on the mylink. When on the radio screen, top left, press source on the screen. It lists am, fm, xm, aux, USB, and Bluetooth. am, fm, and xm are always white (except for when that item is selected then its blue). Bluetooth, aux, and USB are white when available, grey when not.
I have never used that button always the steering wheel control. If you start Pandora or iTunes or whatever, then start BringGo. They will both run. BringGo on screen and Pandora and phone over Bluetooth.
Just tested it on mine... iPhone plugged into USB and paired by bluetooth, this is what I get:
Source menu: AM, FM, XM, iPod are available. Bluetooth is shadowed as is aux (which is not connected anyway.)
From the steering wheel controls, it goes from AM --> FM --> XM --> iPod --> back to AM. No bluetooth.
iPod is Bluetooth , press play on pandora on the iPhone.
Well ok then. No, iPod is not Bluetooth. When you have an iPod cable device plugged in, and it's also your Bluetooth phone, it automatically removes Bluetooth on the assumption that you'd rather be using the hardlined connection. Bluetooth still functions for phone calls, but your audio isn't streaming via Bluetooth, it's playing over the cable.
Regardless of this, playing something from an App will work and will play behind Bringo. However the issue I have run into, is that as soon as Bringo says a direction command, it leaves the audio app your using when it pauses to say the direction and then can't return to the audio app and defaults back to iPod music folder when direction is done. I remedied this by turning off the spoken directions so it wouldn't cut out.
Ok there have been a few posts from members who say they can select bluetooth, or USB off of the same device while its plugged in to the USB jack. None have had an iPhone. So this is an issue with the iPhones.
Another issue I have with the iPhone is watching videos. The mylink says no device detected or connected if I try to watch a video from my iPhone. Yet if I plug in my antiquated blackberry storm that is 6 years old, mylink will play the videos off of it.
